Blk Odyssy

This is a amazing talent right here, it's crazy that I'm just now even hearing the music let's welcome “Blk Odyssy” to The Creators Room. Blk Odyssy is a Austin based band with Sam Houston as the leading singer that brings a sound to music you wouldn't expect just based off appearance, I guess that's why they say don't judge a book by it's cover! Originally from Plainfield, NJ Blk Odyssy has been influenced by musicians from Outkast to Kendrick Lamar. When I heard “Lay Low” it had me dancing and the instruments in the background giving it that jazz type feel will have anybody on the dance floor trying to get a lil bump and grind. The switch between Spanish and English in this record flows perfectly. Listening to some of the music I can definitely hear the DeAngelo influence within the band which brings out the old school R&B feel. One of my favorite records I've listened to from Blk Odyssy is “Funkentology” it's just feel good music fr, you can smoke one to this music, you can clean up to this music, you can ride on a long drive to this music, it's relaxing to me along with vibes that can get u up and moving with the right occasion. I can only imagine how it is to hear this live I'm sure that is a special experience, “Murda” is another song that gets me going ever since I came across the music I haven't stopped listening.
