Brian O'Shea
Brian O'shea is an artist based out of New York, member/founder of C7 a collective that consist of three artist, forming the band known as C7 shows the boss like qualities Brian O'Shea holds that he also demonstrates through his rap lyrics. I’m sure there are others out there but, I for one haven’t heard a Korean rapper sounding like this before so Brian caught my ears with his delivery, word play, and storytelling. The fact that he is based in New York but doesn’t have that sound or style you would normally expect coming the Big Apple, makes him stand out in my eyes.
His most recent release is a single titled “Wit Me” where Brian speaks about not knowing if things are moving to fast in his relationship or not, and wondering if your with him or not. Brian O'Shea identifies his music as a mixture between Jazz, Hiphop, R&B, and Funk. Listening to his music you can see the influences from each of these genres. One song of his that shows this is called “Tucked” the production on this one is flawless.
Back in January of 2024 Brian O'Shea released a 6 track EP titled “Food for Thought Vol 1” which starts off with a upbeat vibe in “Outta Control” and transitions into a smooth, chill, laid back vibe in “Purse”. The entire EP in full is a solid body of work, you can get a little bit of everything in this project from O'Shea.
