AUSAR
So much talent in The Town I had to do right and highlight one of it's up and coming artist from the bean. Welcome to The Creators Room Ausar i’m honored to have you featured in Vol 3. I came across Ausar while searching for dope new young talent and I was actually going through Nay Speaks catalog and her peers and she is tapped in and Ausar popped up. He is fresh off his recent release of his hit record “You Got It” where he tells a shorty that he basically playing around she don’t answer when he calls and he’s done with that You Got It. The vibe of this record is smooth and Ausar did his thing on this one. I’ve heard a couple different samples of songs bro has in the vault and this one is my favorite by far and that’s not saying the other ones are bad because those are dope as well but this the one.
Ausar how old are you? How long have u been making music? Tell us a little bit about yourself.
▪︎ I'm 15 years old. Both of my parents are musicians, so I've been around music my whole life. I started taking music seriously at 10. Originally I started with the drums, then in elementary I took on trumpet. Now I play guitar. While in elementary, I was introduced to an app called soundtrap in music class and that's when I started to make beats.
How has being apart of 617 Peak season impacted you as a artist?
▪︎ 617 Peak impacted me in so many ways. Music aside, it has taught me how to pick my brain and dig deeper to get inspiration for whatever I'm doing. I came in with a closed mind thinking that I wouldnt fit in because everyone else there was very lyrical, but after the writing exercises I went back home with the start of one of my songs called “New year, new us”.
617 Peak is a organization based in Boston Massachusetts that’s committed to helping peak students and the youth think for themselves, use their brain, helping kids learn and grow from different perspectives is vital so I support whole heartdly.
I’m sure getting that experience being apart of 617 has done more for u than u even know as of yet, i’m interested in hearing a 617 collab tape with Ausar and a few others I think got the juice. That might be something u should inquire about Ausar. But not to get too much off track going back to “You Got It” if my memory serves me correct Ausar said he was gonna drop that video soon I know his peers are ready for that I know I am.
What was the writing and recording process like with you're single "You Got It"?
▪︎ I actually wasn't going to make it a real song. I made the beat and hook like a month before and didn't go back to it for a while. A few weeks later, I was going through my unfinished projects and I found the hook for “You Got It”. That night I finished the verse and added the final pieces to it.
Who inspires you musically and why?
▪︎ My inspirations right now are Capella Grey, Donell Jones, Nay $peaks, and Tory Lanez
Man now I can hear it, a record with Ausar & Nay Speaks would be dope. If she is inspiring to you ot seems only right and i’m sure she would help you rise to even new levels with challenging you on a collaborative record together, just throwing out the idea. Outside of music, tell us about other interest you may have.
▪︎ Outside of music, I like cutting hair and landscaping with my dad.
What is the message u want to give to the world and you're fans through you're music?
▪︎ Honestly I don't have a huge message, I just want to bring good energy through my music. Even though my words are emotional at times, I deliver it in a way that you wouldn't know until you actually pay attention to my lyrics. This can be appealing to those who want to listen to emotional songs, and those who like how upbeat my songs are.
What's new for Ausar? New project? New singles?
▪︎ I have some new music coming soon. I plan on dropping another song and the music video for “You Got It”.
As a young artist on the rise are u looking for a record deal? Or are u looking to stay independent? What are you're thoughts on getting a deal vs being Independent?
▪︎ Honestly right now I'm not looking for a deal. As early as I am into my career I'm not in a rush to sign just yet. But If I got the opportunity to sign I would want to have at least an album or EP out beforehand. I don't have anything against signing. I just think it's more so about you understanding what you're doing as in knowing certain terms in the agreement like royalties etc. I think I would like being independent more because of the ability to have creative control and freedom to do whatever.
Who in the music industry would u want to collaborate with and why?
▪︎ I would like to work with Capella Grey. The way he produces is very unique to me, and the gospel influence makes his songs soulful in a way. He influences my recording process which is why I think our sounds would complement each other.
Coming up as a artist in Boston what are somethings you have struggled with on you're rise, how did u handle that? And what do u think can be done to change it, so artist after u don't deal with the same issues.
▪︎ Coming up, I’ve struggled with shifting from being just a producer, to an artist and producer. When I initially started producing, people would come to me strictly for beats. I sort of shifted this by reintroducing myself with my music and my production. This helped me get recognized as a more rounded artist.
