Fresh off his most recent release on October 13th 2023 KilTheArtist dropped “Side B” which is a continuation of his previous project 1-900- HUSTLER kinda like how Hov did which would make sense why that’s his favorite rapper both of these projects are cold 🥶. KilTheArtist is a talented individual who not only brings substance in his music he brings it in a manner I love in hip-hop from his story telling to his raw gritty raps about life, coming up out the streets as a young black man who wasnt equipped with the tools to win in this society. The authenticity in the music is compelling and compared to a lot of his peers I feel Kil is definitely top teir definitely one of the best from Boston i’ve heard thus far. Taking a dive into the new project the first record that stood out to me was “Philly Shell” the delivery, word play, lyricism and production makes this one of the most solid records on the album. “ I got the knowledge to Expand all I needed was a chance, fighting for my life I had to tighten up my stance” is what he said coming from the dirt he had to formulate a plan to make it out. I like the choice of samples used for this project as well u can tell even as a young dude Kil has a old soul. When the record “Sade Adu” came on I knew dog had it fr because this joint not only brings that old school vibe with the sample but he went crazy on this one “Making non believers to believers like God do” 😳 sheesh I felt that one! When it comes to “Wants” I like how he flipped that Ruff Ryders record “What Ya Want” and made it his own with ease, all in all the project is stamped as one of his best bodies of work in my opinion take a listen down below and see for yourself.
Being a lover of rap & hip-hop i’m always looking for talent so i’ve come across many from all over in the time i’ve been out I'm the bean I just came across Kil maybe 3 months ago and recently I decided to add bro to the site and then not then as i’m doing writing about him I find out someone I cross paths with on the daily is his manager crazy how that works, next thing u know CWTFB Radio is doing a rating of his new project so u know i’m not just gassing when I say KilTheArtist did his thing with this one.
