Jiles
September 8th 2023 Jiles released a dope project called “Mookie Blaylook” giving insights into his world coming from from Brockton, MA his ability to give u authentic storytelling music about his life & upbringing in a raw and unique way along side his producer Vinyl Villain has Boston music scene on 🔥. Jiles gives u stories about the trenches of The Town and hoop references over some instrumentals that kinda give you that Griselda type feel, this duo is a match made in heaven. As I took a dive into this project I quickly realized that Jiles is one New England’s most unique in the way he raps and goes about constructing new records. I can definitely hear a Tyler The Creator type feel to his music on some dark vibe. One of the best records off the project to me is “Sauce Gardner” this whole record is flawless “You know what it is, we official you can check the score” I have watched some of Jile’s interviews and he says he doesn’t consider himself a gangsta or nothing like that he just rocks with who he rocks with and he speaks about his life experiences from his life and the people around him. “10pc” is a dope record on this project as well. “Anything attached to my name, holds validation” 🔥 Jiles is different, you can look around but u won’t find another artist from the town with a more unique style than him. Recently he made a appearance on Shade45 and did a freestyle so u know the people are listening and his artistry is making a impact. Along with his fellow Van Burean Records label mates you can expect to hear alot more from the Brockton native and as long as he keeps creating with Vinyl Villain the potential is endless. The whole concept of “Mookie Blaylook” is raw and creative and the cover art is dope as well, having a cover art and title that draws you in sets the tone for the listener to actually want to see what u talking about and I think Jiles and his team excited that perfectly. “Kobe Fro” is crazy the production set it off on this record. “Juice” & “Mass Appeal” are both dope records as well i like the fact that Jiles is concious about Crypto and the power it holds, he is not just a artist rapping about The Struggle but he is actually knowledgeable about what can move the culture forward. There’s a few artist i’d like to see jiles collab with on a chyper record but that’s only if people are up for the competition!! Only time will tell, click the Mookie Blaylook cover art below to listen to the project.
