Dre Trav has been submerged deep in the underground rap scene in San Diego for a long time, when it comes to this rap sh*t out west Dre Trav has held his own as a top tier lyricist coming from the city. It's amazing when u come across a artist who grew up in a certain area or region but yet the style of rap they produce doesn't sound like the rest of the city, those are the ones I look for. I heard about Dre Trav when I made a move out west years ago. I came across a joint project he had with his producer named “Chuck Moon” which was a collective they call “Caliens” I thought it was unique coming from Atlanta, “Atliens” from Outkast was the only time I've seen that been used so I had to give it a listen. Once I dove into the music I came across a record called “lego$” which is a dope underground record where Dre Trav lets the people know that he Stackin the bundles like Legos. With witty rhymes & metaphors it's not hard to see why Trav has made a name for himself in Cali and around the country. I have always liked the way he incorporates that interstellar/ extraterrestrial type of vibe to his images and cover arts, feeding into the name of the group “Caliens” In 2019 Dre Trav released a album titled “Yamms” another collaboration project but this time with Tall, drk. This whole project is smooth with medolic, cypher, & outter space type vibes but giving u raw hip-hop at its finest.

Dre Trav has a plethora of records that makes him stand out from his peers but I also appreciate when he does collaborations with his fellow mates in dayo like on his latest album release in 2022 with “Three” a collaboration album with Ralph Quasar, Caliens, & himself. This album gives you futuristic vibes with that classic Dre Trav feel

I can relate to that phrase one hundred percent, I'm not the smartest person ever but I'm also no idiot and going through life you notice a lot of people are just followers not leaders so they follow what's popular or who they like even when alot of times who there following isn't really leading them correctly “blind leading the blind” The vision comes from a higher source so how could you expect them to understand. I really enjoyed this project, there are many aspects of the project that will make you think about things from a different perspective.
