Nay Speaks is a Poet, Artist, Student, Healer amongst other things who has taken rap by storm coming from Boston, Massachusetts & the “Words Speak Life” movement there is no question there's not to many people who touching Nay and the crazy thing is, she's only 19. Wise beyond her years Nay gives you healing messages with wisdom on how to move in a city filled with sharks 🦈 from early childhood Nay was influenced by artist like Monica, Mary J Blige, Missy Elliott and others. I first heard about Nay speaks through her fellow “Words Speaks Life” collective mates Funeral Ant Bell & Avenue Blvd. I went to a event in Boston where Nay was suppose to perform and although all the artist that performed did there thing and it was a dope event I hated I didn't get to see her perform because like I said she is only 19 so the venue wouldn't let her in because she is underage.? Crazy huh. When I heard what she did over the J. Cole & Summer Walker joint called “To Summer, From Cole” that one spoke to my spirit Nay has a way with words not to many can do at her age and even as a grown man twice her age I feel like she can teach so many people no wonder they call her the healer. With her R&B style along with her witty rhymes when she wants to switch to rap Nay can stand toe to toe with the best of them and she is only going to get better with time. Alot of dudes who been rapping for years don't hold a candle stick to the caliber Nay Speaks raps on and it hasn't gone unnoticed as many music executives have tapped in to her new project called “Nayborhood Healer”. One of my favorite records off the album is called “Silent Hello” another dope joint is “FSO” where Nay shows that she is one of if not the hardest young rapper coming out of the town. “Post Up” is one of my favorite records off the project because it gives u that Italian vibe on the production and then Nay really slides on the beat effortlessly.
